A HEARTY WELCOME!

We are a loving family church with vital youth ministries and enthusiastic outreaches into our community.  Tender care of the youngest ones in our nursery, together with nurturing and enthusiastic training of our children and teens in Sunday School classes, music and youth groups, and a drama-production ministry help to stimulate the steady growth of our congregation in the worship and service of Jesus Christ.

Our Christian beliefs emphasize above all the necessity of a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.  The Bible is our sole guide to theology and practice.  In the interpretation of the Scriptures, we follow a primarily Wesleyan-Arminian point of view.

We are Evangelical Congregational in that: (1) in belief and practice we are evangelical, aggressively sharing the Good News of the death, resurrection, and coming again of Jesus Christ, and eagerly calling men and women, boys and girls, to faith in Him; and, (2) in church polity, we are congregational.  We own our own property and administer the work of our congregation through gifted lay leaders.

In time, a growing team of dedicated lay leaders will be posting more and more news of key ministries of our expanding congregation.  In the meantime, look around, and consider worshiping with us sometime soon.  You’ll find here our worship times, as well as, directions concerning how to find us.

It’s the Church Picnic / Corn Roast on Sunday, Aug 22, starting at 3:00pm at CVZEC. Our entire Church and Sunday School family here at CVZEC Church is invited. We will start at 3:00 with fellowship, annual softball game and games for all ages. We will eat at approximately 5:30. The Sunday School will provide the hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, and place settings. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for covered dishes. If you can provide a grill, please indicate so on the sign-up sheet.Please join us for this time of Christian fun and fellowship and invite your friends and neighbors to come along to meet our Church family. If you would be willing to coordinate games for the children or adults, please see Dave Weaver to volunteer.
