A.C.T. is planning a Spring Dinner Theater Production . The dates we are looking at for performances are May 1 & 2, 2010. We are going to be doing a dinner theater in the downstairs social hall with the play being acted out right among the audience as the actors serve dinner. The play we are looking to cast is called State Road 47. It is a fun script with songs, comedy, and full of many character parts. The play is broken into three versions of parables from the bible that all happened on a road. They are the Sower And the Seed, The Good Samaritan , and The Prodigal Son . They are each done with humor and with a modern take on the stories. The production ends with a message of hope and faith in Christ- all the while the audience is in a warm and friendly environment of food, fellowship and fun. We are looking for adults and teens (13 and up) for this production. (kids will be included again at Christmas) Please consider having a part in this upcoming production.
We will be having a meeting for those interested and a viewing of the play right after Sunday School (approx. 11:30 a.m.) on Feb. 7th. If you are unable to make this meeting… please let me know if you are interested in a part and we will make sure to include you in the cast. The first rehearsal will be Sunday Feb. 14th at 4:00 p.m.
The three parables are basically skits which means there are no large main roles but lots of character parts. You may be cast to play more than one role.
There will be an opening and closing musical number as a group. There are a few small ensemble and solo musical numbers, But… there are lots of drama parts that do not require singing!
