“Journey Partners” is the discipleship program instituted last fall here at CVZ. The thirty-five participants agreed to a six month commitment, meeting once a week with their “partner”. Each pair used a “bookmark” which guided them through their weekly meetings. The participants got to know each other through the guided questions and were held accountable from week to week according to their responses.
Scripture was discussed pertaining to the sermon topic. Prayer guidelines encourage intercession on behalf of a partner and others. The six month period ended with a celebration of the experience. The overwhelming response was that this program needs to be expanded and encouraged others to participate. During the next several months some of the participants will be sharing their testimonies to promote the benefits they have experienced.
We will be kicking off another campaign in the fall but some of you may be interested in joining during the summer months.
