Hello, Clark’s Valley!
Most of you have known me my entire life, but for those of you who don’t, my name is Courtney Kuntz. I’ve grown up in this church, and I am a sophomore English major at Eastern University.
However, most of you do not know very much about Mission Year. As it implies, it is a year-long urban ministry opportunity that places young adults in areas of need where they are helped to serve others and create community. The program focuses on Christian service and discipleship, utilizing simple living and neighborhood churches to really help its team members focus on the relational aspect of missions.
Next year, I will be participating in Mission Year.
I do not know which city I will be placed in yet, though Houston and Chicago are my top contenders. I will leave on September 2nd, 2011 and return in August. As my church family, I plan on keeping you as updated as possible as I raise money and prepare to leave, and even once I move in to my city. I only hope that you will support me, prayerfully and financially if possible, throughout the course of my Mission Year journey. Thank you so much!
