YOU ARE INVITED!!!!

Our entire Church family at Clark’s Valley Zion E.C. is invited to join us for Sunday School, immediately following the Worship Service at 10:15 AM.  We have dedicated, knowledgeable teachers who spend much time preparing lessons for their classes. Following is a brief description of classes available, where they will meet, and subjects to be studied for the winter quarter, Dec., Jan., Feb..  Please join us! All members, friends, and visitors are invited!!!

JUNIOR DEPARTMENT CLASSES: We will have 2 classes this winter in our Junior department. We will also have a Nursery during Sunday School, for ages 0-2 yrs., located in the Nursery Room in the rear of the Sanctuary.

Nursery: Ages 0-2 yrs., rear of Sanctuary.

Preschool Class -Ages 3, 4, 5, K:  – Room 1-

Teachers: Vickie and Bob Schwalm : The Pre-school Class will be studying  3 units on Jesus this winter: “Jesus Was Born”, “Jesus Pleases God”, and “ Jesus Loves Everyone”. They play games and do crafts to reinforce their lessons.

Elementary Class - Grades 1-5 – Room 3 –

Teachers:Harriet Bull, Nancy Boltz, Crystal Mutzabaugh:  This winter, the Elementary class students will study “Jesus Was Born”, “Who Jesus Is”, and “Jesus Is Our Friend”. Students will be involved in learning memory verses, making crafts to reinforce the Bible lesson and playing games to emphasize Bible truths.

ADULT DEPARTMENT CLASSES : We will have 5 classes in our Adult Dept. this winter. Adults will have 2 elective classes to choose from. These classes are not age-specific, they are open to any student who is interested in the current topic to be studied.

Jr. High/ Middle School Class : 6th thru 8th grades : – Teacher: Cyril Fedor – Room 2: This winter, our Jr. High/Middle school class will be using the Encounter series. Topics this quarter are “Your Possessions”, “Your Priorities” and “The Work Of Christ”. This series ties in a lesson each week with a magazine for each student to take home so that they may encounter God every day of the week.

Sr. High Class : 9th thru 12th grades – Teachers: Gail Grubb, David Bull – Room 4. This winter, the Senior High class will study “Fuel Ignited: Living Your Faith: Vol. 2”. This video-based curriculum series covers these issues: “ Family: family purpose, parents, family conflict, and divorce”: “Responsibility: to friends, decision making, prejudice, suffering, and encouraging ministry”: “Authority: source of authority, respect, employment, and church leaders”.

Young Adult/Post High Class : Teachers: Megan Klase, Ben Moyer, Jake Seachrist: Social hall downstairs-library end: This class will examine the question “What does God say about this?” during our winter quarter. The class is studying different topics and looking for Biblical application for our everyday lives. Each week, a new topic will be examined and discussed. Some of the topics we are examining are drugs, drinking, abortion, and relationships.

Adult Elective Class – Teacher: Bob Grubb – Social Hall downstairs:  Call it “The Seven Habits of Highly Spiritual People”, or “The Keys to Spiritual Success” or my favorite “Steroids for the Soul”, they each could be the title for this series and they each relay the sense of the lessons being offered this quarter.  We will be studying those habits we can adopt, those things we can do, those scriptural performance enhancers we can take to help us be more effective in our spiritual life.  We will be studying what the Scriptures reveal to us about becoming a more effective Christian and considering the examples of spiritually “in tune” people.  Some things are simple, others are more challenging and still others will leave you thinking “Hey, that really makes sense, I can do that”!  Come to Sunday School and move up to the big leagues.  You can be a spiritual MVP!

Adult Elective Class – Teacher: Jim Heister – Room 6.  This winter, Jim’s class will be studying the Gospel of John.
