Clarks Valley Zion EC Church
To grow together in the family of God, seeking Jesus, sharing His love, and changing lives.

Pastor Mike

Carpenter to pastor, it has been done before. Pastor Mike Knapp has worked at different phases of construction for twenty nine years. For the past seventeen years, Mike has been a self-employed as a remodeling contractor. Mike enjoyed his business, but sensed God's calling to pursue the ministry. In response to that calling he attended a pastoral assessment workshop through the Evangelical Congregational Church. At the end of the four days he had confirmation he was looking for, both personally and from the denomination.

Mike will attend the Evangelical Theological Seminary, while retaining the responsibilities of being pastor at Clarks Valley Zion.

Mike is married for twenty-eight years to his wonderful wife Ruth. They are the parents of two boys, Tim twenty-two and Dan nineteen. Ruth works for the Capital Area Intermediate Unit as a teacher of special needs students, with a master's degree in education. Tim is a graduate of theUniversity of Pittsburgh with a dual major in secondary education; social studies and history degree. Dan will be attending Lock Haven University in the fall

Mike and Ruth are excited about the opportunity to serve their Savior Jesus Christ. They would love to have you visit with them and share in the exciting opportunities to grow in your spiritual walk at Clarks Valley Zion.
